Our DSD drivers deliver product, mainly ice cream and refrigerated iced teas, to local and regional customers. Most drivers work four (4) days per week, are home every night and have Sundays off. Turkey Hill Dairy e-mail: careers@turkeyhill.com Truck Mechanic Class II We have an immediate opening for a Truck Mechanic Class II The Class II Truck Mechanic is responsible to repair trucks, trailers, refrigeration units, and all other automotive vehicles up to and including Class 8 vehicles. Turkey Hill Dairy has a 24/7 diesel garage that services over 300 pieces of equipment. This position is a 2nd shift position that works 5 rotating days (Sunday through Saturday.) Position Description: 1.Complete all required documentation for service work and ensure signed copy is placed in vehicle serviced. 2.Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as assigned. 3.Perform PA inspections and repair as needed. 4.Monitor all company Pre and Post Trip Vehicle Inspection Reports for completion and perform follow up repairs/maintenance as required. 5.Perform steering, engine, and transmission/drive train repairs and work on electrical charging systems for tractors and trucks. 6.Perform repairs/maintenance on trailer refrigeration units. 7.As necessary, perform the following: trailer repairs for brakes, tailgate, general periodic service for PA state vehicle inspections, lubrication and oil changes, brake adjustment, belts and miscellaneous adjustments, lights, etc. 8.Available to take emergency road calls and/or perform emergency road repair as necessary. The qualifications needed for this position are: 1.High school diploma or equivalent. 2.CDL Class A with valid and updated medical certifications 3.Class 7 PA State inspection certificate strongly preferred. 4.EPA Approved Certification – Air Conditioning (609) strongly preferred. 5.1 – 3 years related experience with tractor trailer maintenance. 6.Strong electrical and hydraulic experience required. 7.Must have own hand tools.
