Turkey Hill Dairy Welcomes PA Secretary Of Agriculture
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (July 26, 2012) PA Department of Agriculture Secretary George Greig took a guided tour of the Turkey Hill Dairy plant and the Turkey Hill Experience on Wednesday, July 25 to show his support for the dairy and its commitment to protecting local farmland.
"Like Pennsylvania's other dairy processors, Turkey Hill Dairy plays an important role in its community providing jobs and offering locally-produced dairy products for Pennsylvanians," said Greig. "I thank Turkey Hill and its workers for their support of Pennsylvania's number one industry - agriculture."
During the tour of the plant, Greig saw firsthand how the Dairy produces its products, while nine interactive exhibit areas at the Turkey Hill Experience allowed him to learn more about Turkey Hill Dairy.
Greig, a former dairy farmer from Crawford County, oversees the Department of Agriculture in its mission to encourage, protect and promote agriculture and related industries throughout the commonwealth.
Turkey Hill Dairy produces the fifth largest-selling premium ice cream brand and the top-selling refrigerated iced tea brand in the nation. For more information, visit turkeyhill.com.
