Peppermint Stick Ice Cream Cake
1 package of Oreo cookies, finely crushed
1 stick of butter
Turkey Hill Peppermint Stick Limited Edition Premium Ice Cream
1 can of whipped cream
Chocolate sauce or hot fudge, not heated
Crushed peppermint sticks
Directions
NOTE: You will need a spring form pan. If you don't have a teflon pan, lightly coat the pan with a little bit of butter on the bottom and sides.
- Take ice cream out of freezer to soften
- Finely crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor.
- Melt 1 stick of butter and blend with the crushed Oreos; mix well so all of the cookie crumbs are coated.
- Take 1/2 of the cookie crumbs and press firmly into a spring form pan. Place in freezer to chill for 10 minutes.
- Spread 1/2 of the softened ice cream over the Oreo cookies. Freeze for 20 minutes.
- Spread the rest of the buttery cookie crumbs over the ice cream and lightly press down. Drizzle chocolate sauce/unheated hot fudge over this and freeze for 10 minutes.
- Spread the rest of the softened ice cream in the pan and freeze for 1 hour.
- Spray whipped cream on top, and spread to even out. Drizzle chocolate sauce/unheated hot fudge, and sprinkle with peppermint stick pieces.
- Cover with foil. Freeze for 3 hours or until you are ready to serve. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting, and enjoy!
