Ham Loaf
A favorite Lancaster County meat loaf recipe using a delicious combination of cured ham and pork.
1 ½ lbs. ground, cured ham
2/3 lb. fresh pork
1 cup dry bread crumbs
¼ tsp. pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
Glaze:
¼ cup vinegar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 ¼ tsp. dry mustard
Combine meats, crumbs, pepper, eggs, and milk and mix thoroughly. Form into loaf, making a trough through top of loaf. To prepare glaze: combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour glaze into trough on ham loaf. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 ½ hours. Baste occasionally with glaze.
