LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (December 6, 2012) — Does the New Year's Eve ball drop after your family's bedtime? Celebrate with your family by attending the 2nd Annual New Year's Eve at the Turkey Hill Experience on Monday, December 31, from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. and enjoy free games, activities and live music. At 6 p.m., the local Columbia No. 1 Fire Department will drop a large Turkey Hill Dairy ice cream cone to welcome in the New Year.
"People want to spend their New Year's with their loved ones, but most New Year's Eve festivities are held late in the day making it hard for families to celebrate," said Bob Adams, manager of the Turkey Hill Experience. "We are extremely excited to offer local families the flexibility and option to ring in the New Year together."
The Turkey Hill Experience will debut the new look of its very own mascot, Callie, and special appearances will also be made by Turkey Hilda from Turkey Hill Minit Markets, Catcher from the PA Railroad Museum and Downtown from the York Revolution. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and a special discount rate of $7 per person is being offered to anyone who wishes to visit the Turkey Hill Experience from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Parking will be available at the Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and Community Crossings Church.
The Turkey Hill Experience, which opened on June 4, 2011, is a 26,000-square-foot visitor destination full of interactive exhibits highlighting the history of Turkey Hill Dairy and its ice cream and iced tea production processes.
