LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (June 6, 2017) — Imagine tasting chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream fresh off the line or seeing your favorite flavor of iced tea being bottled. Since Turkey Hill Dairy doesn't offer public tours, not many can claim to have experienced that — until now.
In what is being called a "Day at the Dairy," Turkey Hill is opening the doors to its Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, dairy to three members of its Turkey Hill Nation fan club.
The rare behind-the-scenes look at the ice cream and iced tea-making process will take place on Friday, July 14. It will begin with a tour of the Dairy, including plenty of fresh-off-the-line samples and a meet and greet with Turkey Hill leadership. After lunch, the day will wrap up with an afternoon at the Turkey Hill Experience, which will include a chance to create a personalized ice cream flavor in the Experience's Taste Lab.
"As much as we'd love to, it's not easy to give public tours of the Dairy. That's part of what makes this experience so special," said Turkey Hill President John Cox. "It's also our way of rewarding members of the Turkey Hill Nation with a little something extra."
Launched in December 2016, and today boasting more than 14,000 members, the Turkey Hill Nation is based online at www.TurkeyHillNation.com and is free to join. Members can follow the action online or via an official Nation app. Upon signing up, new members will have access to a range of content available only to Nation members, including polls, coupons, recipes, and the inside scoop on new products and flavors.
The winning Turkey Hill Nation fans will be chosen on Thursday, June 22, from the Turkey Hill Nation fan base. To become a member of the Turkey Hill Nation, enter to win a Day at the Dairy, and view official rules, visit www.TurkeyHillNation.com.
