Turkey Hill Driver, Terry Frey, Named Ryder Driver of the Year for Fleet Management Solutions
Local recognition event planned for April 20, 2026

CONESTOGA, Pa. (April 17, 2026) — Ryder System, Inc. has named Terry Frey, a longtime member of the Turkey Hill Dairy team, its Driver of the Year for Fleet Management Solutions as part of its 54th annual Driver of the Year awards.
Frey will be recognized locally at a special dinner on April 20, celebrating his career and the impact he's made at Turkey Hill and throughout the Lancaster community. The evening will bring together Frey's family and friends, along with leadership from Turkey Hill and Ryder.
The Ryder Driver of the Year award honors a small group of drivers across the country who consistently go above and beyond in safety, service, and leadership. Each year, just three drivers are selected nationally across Ryder's operations, and those honorees are inducted into the Ryder Driver Hall of Fame.
For Frey, the recognition reflects decades of steady, reliable work. He has spent 34 years as a professional driver, including more than 26 years supporting Turkey Hill Dairy. During that time, he has logged nearly 2.5 million safe miles-more than 2 million with Turkey Hill-without a single DOT-reportable accident or citation.
"Terry represents the very best of Turkey Hill," said Clay Shipman, Logistics Director, Turkey Hill Dairy. "He brings a level of consistency and care to his work that really stands out. We're proud to see him recognized on a national level-and even more proud of the way he represents our team every day."
Those who work alongside Frey know him as someone they can count on-steady, detail-oriented, and always willing to help. He's earned the respect of Ryder technicians, Turkey Hill teams, and fellow drivers through the way he approaches his job every day.
"Terry embodies everything we value at Ryder - an unwavering commitment to safety, professionalism, and doing the job the right way, every single day," said Tom Havens, President of Fleet Management Solutions for Ryder. "With decades of experience, millions of safe miles, and the trust of both the Ryder and Turkey Hill Dairy teams, Terry sets a powerful example of what excellence looks like behind the wheel."
Outside of work, Frey is just as committed to his community. He has spent years mentoring young people and supporting organizations focused on youth development and character building.
This year's Ryder Driver of the Year honorees collectively represent millions of safe miles and decades of experience, highlighting the important role drivers play in keeping operations-and communities-moving safely.
Turkey Hill Dairy congratulates Terry Frey on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to celebrating with him on April 20th.
