LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (July 1, 2013) — Does the New Year's Eve ball drop after your family's bedtime? Celebrate New Year's Eve before midnight with family and friends by attending the 3rd Annual New Year's Eve at the Turkey Hill Experience on Tuesday, December 31, from 4-6 p.m.
"Most New Year's Eve festivities are held late in the evening, making it hard for families to celebrate together," said Bob Adams, manager of the Turkey Hill Experience. "We are excited to continue holding our annual New Year's Eve event to allow local families the flexibility and option to ring in the New Year together."
The family fun event will be filled with free outdoor games, activities, live music, and special visitors. At 6 p.m., the local Columbia No. 1 Fire Department will drop a large Turkey Hill Dairy Ice Cream cone to welcome the New Year. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and all attendees are welcome to visit the Turkey Hill Experience from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (regular admission rates apply).
The Turkey Hill Experience is a visitor destination full of interactive exhibits highlighting the history of Turkey Hill Dairy and its ice cream and iced tea products. Through the hands-on exhibits, visitors truly experience what it is like to be a Turkey Hill Dairy ice cream maker for a day, with the opportunity to create their own virtual ice cream flavor, star in their own Turkey Hill commercial, and taste their own ice cream flavor by making the recipe at the Taste Lab. The PA Dutch Convention and Visitors Bureau recently awarded the Turkey Hill Experience the Spirit of Hospitality and Creativity Award for the addition of the Taste Lab.
